In addition, it plans, constructs, finances, and/or operates water supply, wastewater treatment, and thermal waste utilization services; provides internet and telecommunication services; generates electricity from renewable energy, hydropower, and photovoltaics; and constructs and operates natural gas networks. The company was founded in 1922 and is headquartered in Maria Enzersdorf, Austria. EVN AG operates as a subsidiary of NÖ Landes-Beteiligungsholding GmbH.
