The company’s Naval & Special Ship business offers maintenance, repair, overhaul and solutions, such as shipbuilding to maintenance, repair, and operation. Its Engine & Machinery business unit builds low-speed and medium-speed HIMSEN engine, propeller, ship propulsion and rudder system, engine components, nox reduction system, and marine pump. in addition, it provides diesel engine power plant, modular power plant & pps, emergency generator, emergency generator for nuclear power plants, and combined heat and power and hybrid power plant. The company was founded in 1972 and is based in Ulsan, South Korea. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.,Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd.
