IAR S.A. develops and manufactures aeronautical products in Romania. It offers Alouette III and Puma helicopters. The company also engages in the design analysis and qualification/certification of new or upgraded aircrafts, avionics and equipment integration, and ground and flight testing; manufacture of structural sub-assemblies, electrical harnesses, distribution units, and control boxes; and provision of upgrading, customization, maintenance, structural repairs, ground and flight testing, and overhaul services. In addition, it offers after-sale services comprising airworthiness assurance, spare parts supply and repair of equipment, and technical assistance; and training for pilots and technicians. The company was founded in 1925 and is headquartered in Brasov, Romania.
