Karnaphuli Insurance PLC engages in the general insurance business in Bangladesh. It offers marine insurance products, such as marine cargo, marine hull, and goods in transit insurance; fire insurance products comprising allied perils, fire package insurance, industrial all risk, property all risk, property damage all risk, hotel owners all risk, and comprehensive machinery insurance; and motor insurance products, including comprehensive private vehicle, comprehensive commercial, vehicle, motor transit, and comprehensive motorcycle insurance. The company also provides engineering insurance products that include machinery breakdown, boiler pressure vessel, deterioration of stock, electronic equipment, erection all risk, contractor’s plant and machinery, and contractor’s all risk insurance. In addition, it offers miscellaneous insurance products, including consequential loss/loss of profit, cash-in-safe, cash-in-transit, and cash-on-counter, fidelity guarantee, all risks, burglary/theft, personal accident, people’s personal accident, workmen’s compensation, health plan, overseas medi-claim, dread disease, money insurance for bank, bank locker, public/third party liability, product liability, professional liability, commercial general liability, business interruption, householders comprehensive, directors and officer’s liability, and plate glass insurance.
