OMV Petrom S.A., an energy company, engages in the exploration and production of oil and gas in Southeastern Europe. It operates through three segments: Exploration and Production; Refining and Marketing; and Gas and Power segments. The Exploration and Production segment produces crude oil and natural gas; and engages in exploration and production of onshore and offshore oil and gas. The Refining and Marketing segment produces and delivers gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products through Petrobrazi refinery; and provides services and non-oil business products. The Gas and Power segment engages electricity production, as well as sale of gas and power; and operates gas fired power plant. It also operates filling stations and distributes products to both retail and wholesale customers. The company was founded in 1857 and is headquartered in Bucharest, Romania. OMV Petrom S.A. operates as a subsidiary of OMV Aktiengesellschaft.
