Rompetrol Rafinare S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the refining of oil, production of petrochemicals, and downstream activities in Romania, Europe, Asia, and America. It operates through Refining and Petrochemicals segments. The company offers gasoline, diesel fuels, aviation fuels, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, propane fuels, light and heavy liquid fuels, propylene/propane-propylene mix, fuel gas, petroleum coke, petroleum sulphur, ecological solvents, N-hexane, naphtha, aromatic extracts, white spirits and petrol, road and special bitumen, and polymer modified bitumen; and petrochemical products, such as polypropylene, and high- and low-density polyethylene. It is also involved in the fuel storage and transportation, quality control, fuel and lubricant retail trade, electricity distribution, and wastewater treatment activities, as well as utility distribution for instrumental and technical air, fire and potable water, hot and raw water, condensate, filtered water, fuel refinery gases, and thermal energy. The company exports its products. The company was formerly known as Petromidia. Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Navodari, Romania.
