The company offers auto, all risks, boiler and pressure vessels, bond, builders and employers liability, burglary and house breaking, fire and special perils, goods in transit, group personal accident, health care professional indemnity, marine cargo, machinery breakdown, marine hull and machinery, money policies, occupiers liability, oil and gas, professional indemnity, and fidelity guarantee, motor, local travel, and workmen compensation insurances; as wells as contractors, erection, and plant all risks insurance. It is also involved in the property investment and asset management businesses. The company operates through branches in Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha, Aba, Umuhia, Abakaliki, and Kaduna. Universal Insurance Plc was incorporated in 1961 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
