Birla Precision Technologies Limited manufactures and sells machine tools and accessories, precision and automotive components, and castings in India, Japan, the United States, and internationally. It operates through Tooling and Automotive Components segments. The company provides tool holders, including collets, side locks, millings, shrinks, dual tapers, special, stubs, extra gauge length, morse tapers, turning tools, and mechanical holders; work holding; power grip milling chuck; production boosters; jacobs taper; boring bar adapters; wooden box kit; tapping systems; drill chuck adapter; VDI shank tooling; shrink-fit heating machine; hydraulic chuck; reduction sleeves; and accessories. It offers cutting tools comprising twists drills, end mills, reamers, milling cutter, taps, tools bits, engineering files, etc.; duratool products, consisting of hammer, masonry, and H series drills; annular cutters; carbide tip drills; steel files; ultra thin and chopsaw wheels; depressed center discs; and TCT circular saws for use in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, agriculture, stone and marble cutting industries, etc. In addition, the company offers ferrous shell casting products, such as bearing and turbine housings; braking; engine parts; fuel system shaft; o-ring carrier; drive shafts; flanges; hydraulic spools; metallic bellows; rocker arm levers; halter; end yoke; crank shafts; fork selector; machinery application; and railway – turbocharger components. It sells its products under the Dagger, Hathyar, Ninja, Panther and Carbomach brands. The company also exports its products to Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States. The company was formerly known as Birla Kennametal Limited and changed its name to Birla Precision Technologies Limited in November 2007. The company was founded in 1937 and is based in Mumbai, India.
