Samyang KCI Corporation manufactures and sells polymers and surfactants used as high-quality additives for shampoos and rinses in South Korea. The company provides conditioning polymers which is used in personal care products, such as shampoo, body wash, and hair care products; cationic surfactants used in hair conditioning products; and humectant/moisturizer, a raw material used for moisturizing purposes in various personal care products. It also offers emulsifier, a raw material that uniformly mixes and maintains water and various emulsions; emollient, a lipophilic substance used to soften skin or hair; rheology modifier/thickener that used in various personal care products to provide a thickening effect and improve the feel and stability of the formulation; and active delivery enhancer, which serves as a solvent and carrier. The company was formerly known as KCI Limited and changed its name Samyang KCI Corporation in April 2000. The company was founded in 1985 and is based in Seoul, South Korea.
