Nippon Sharyo, Ltd. engages in the manufactures and sale of railway vehicles, construction machinery, transportation equipment, steel structures, construction; and engineering and other activities in Japan, the United States, Asia, and internationally. It also provides tank trucks and trailers, containers, storage tanks, large land vehicles, unmanned guided vehicles, freight cars, roadway bridges, and railway bridges; pile driving rigs, casing rotators, earth drilling rig, crawler cranes, and other products related to foundation work; and soil stabilizing and mini piling rings, and generators. In addition, the company offers facility and plat engineering services for agricultural plants, railway rolling stock inspection/maintenance and material-handling equipment. Further, it constructs bridges; and provides paper-making equipment. The company was incorporated in 1896 and is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. Nippon Sharyo, Ltd. is a subsidiary of Central Japan Railway Company.
