The Chemicals and Materials segment offers pitch coke, pitch, naphthalene, phthalic anhydride, carbon black, styrene monomer, styrene resin, epoxy resin, copper-clad laminate for adhesive-free FPC, liquid crystal display materials, organic electroluminescence materials, UV and thermosetting resin materials, rolled metal foil, semiconductor bonding wire and microballs, filler for semiconductor encapsulation, carbon fiber composites, catalyst carrier for exhaust gas purification, porous carbon materials. The System Solutions segment offers Computer system engineering and consulting, and IT outsourcing services and other services. It serves the automotive, infrastructure, designing metal, energy, and consumer electronics industries. The company was formerly known as Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation and changed its name to Nippon Steel Corporation in April 2019. The company was incorporated in 1950 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
