The company also provides engineering and design services, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction; owner engineering; project management; material procurement; multi-entity coordination; grid integration; balance-of-plant; training; consulting; department of transportation projects; and thermal rate solutions for individual or turnkey powerline, substation, and renewable energy projects. In addition, it offers engineering and design services for the communication industry's wireline and wireless communication infrastructure. Further, the company provides overhead and underground powerline construction, upgrade, inspection, and extension services for distribution networks and transmission lines with voltages up to 345 kV and offers maintenance work for voltages up to 500 kV. Additionally, it provides substation construction and services for voltages up to 500 kV; construction services for utility-scale photovoltaic solar generation facilities; and storm assessment, inspection, and restoration services. Pike Corporation was formerly known as Pike Electric Corporation and changed its name to Pike Corporation in November 2013.
