Planet Communications Asia Public Company Limited engages in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and servicing of telecommunication equipment in Thailand, the United States, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Republic of the Union of Myanmar. It operates in three segments: Sale of Products and Solution, Services, and Service Providers. The company offers telecommunications networks products and solutions, such as satellite, wireless, fiber, network, security systems, Wi-Fi, and router/switch for mobile phone and internet service providers, military organizations, government agencies, and television broadcasting stations; smart office solutions consist of telepresence, UC/IP PBX, IP CCTV, and data security; digital broadcasting solutions, including integrated systems of technologies for digital TV broadcasting comprising digital television transmitter and TV signal broadcasting system; cyber security solutions, such as network and transaction security, and fire wall; PlanetCloud, a smart cloud office system; and PlanetFiber that provides internet services. It also provides cloud and data center; utility management; electric vehicle charging station services; and consultative and professional services comprising pre-sales, implementation and installation, and after sales services; and rental services for teleconferencing and digital TV broadcasting devices. In addition, the company produces and sells water and electricity; manufactures and distributes vehicle, electric vehicle machines, and spare parts; and host computer, virtualization service platform, system administration, customer backup, and disaster recovery system services. The company was formerly known as Technology Gateway Asia Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Planet Communications Asia Public Company Limited in 1998. Planet Communications Asia Public Company Limited was incorporated in 1994 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
