Reliance Insurance Company Limited engages in the general insurance business in Pakistan. It operates in four segments: ¬Fire and Property Damage, Marine, Motor, and Miscellaneous. The company offers fire insurance that covers damages caused by fire, riot and strike damage, flood, malicious damage, atmospheric damage, earthquake, earthquake fire and shock, explosion, impact damage, burglary, and aircraft damage, and marine import and export cargo, inland transit insurance, and marine hull insurance, as well as coverage against war risk. It also provides motor insurance comprising car coverage and damage against third party loss; miscellaneous insurance products, such as workman compensation/employer’s liabilities, money, fidelity guarantee, household, baggage, third party liability, product liability, and professional indemnity policy, as well as health, loss of cash in safe and in transit, personal accident, travel, money and engineering losses, and others. In addition, the company offers engineering insurance, such as contractor’s all risk policies, cover, erection all risk, marine-cum-erection, machinery breakdown, loss of profit following machinery breakdown, contractors' plant and equipment, boiler and pressure vessel explosion, low voltage/computer, and deterioration of stock insurance. Further, it provides bond guarantee insurance products consist of bid/tender, mobilization/advance payment, performance, maintenance, customs and excise, supply, and retention money bonds, and terrorism and aviation insurance products. Additionally, the company offers Shariah compliant general Takaful products, including fire and property, marine cargo, motor vehicle, engineering, terrorism, and miscellaneous and accident Takaful products; and reinsurance programs. Reliance Insurance Company Limited was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
