Americas Silver Corporation, formerly Scorpio Mining Corporation, is a Canada-based silver mining company. The Company is focused on growth in precious metals from its existing asset base and execution of focused accretive acquisitions. The Company owns and operates the Cosala Operations in Sinaloa, Mexico and the Galena Mine Complex in Idaho, the United States America. In Sinaloa, Mexico, the Company operates the 100% owned producing Nuestra Senora silver-zinc-copper-lead mine located in the Cosala District. The Cosala area land holdings also host other known deposits and prospects, including the San Rafael zinc-lead-silver project and the past-producing La Verde silver-copper mine. In Idaho, the United States of America, the Company operates the 100% owned producing Galena Complex. The Galena Complex's primary assets are the operating Galena Mine, the Coeur Mine, and the contiguous Caladay development project in the Coeur d'Alene Mining District of northern Idaho.
