Carbon Minerals Limited is an Australian company listed on the ASX that has been involved in various energy and base & precious metals exploration activities throughout Australia. The company has been focused on coal seam gas exploration since 1990, with a particular emphasis on the Gunnedah Basin in New South Wales. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Australian Coalbed Methane Pty Limited (Acm), has drilled the only seam gas well in the NSW portion of the Murray Basin and made the discovery of a biogenic seam gas fairway in the same area. In addition, the company has entered into a farmin agreement with Santos, Australia's second largest petroleum company and largest gas producer, to exploit the potential for large-scale coal seam methane production in the Gunningah Basin. The Gunnedad Basin is expected to become one of the largest seam gas resources in the country, making ACM's tenements a significant contributor to the industry.
