The company operates through Lead-acid Battery Manufacturing segment, Industrial Materials Recycling segment, Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing segment, Noor Industrial Group segment, and Other segments. It provides starter and stationary batteries, batteries for cyclic applications; lead, lead alloys, sodium sulfate and regranulated polypropylene. The company also develops and manufactures batteries with widespread applications in portable devices and electric vehicles; production and recycling of lead-acid batteries; manufactures equipment for recycling industrial materials. It is also involved in production, service, and sale of batteries; engineering, development, and implementation activities; production and trade of equipment for the production of batteries and recycling of industrial materials; foreign and domestic trade and establishment of sales networks; specialized stores and representative offices, recycling and sale of lead, lead alloys and lead-containing materials. The company serves its products to aerospace, defence, marine and public transportation applications. Monbat AD was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria.
