Ascendant Resources Inc. is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is focused on the exploration and development of the prospective Lagoa Salgada volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) project located in the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt in Portugal. The Lagoa Salgada project is located within the north-western section of the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt in Portugal, approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Lisbon. The project is comprised of a single exploration permit covering an area of approximately 7,209 hectares. The Lagoa Salgada Project also represents an early-stage polymetallic zinc-lead-copper exploration opportunity. The Venda Nova deposit at Lagoa Salgada contains over 10.33 million tons of measured and indicated (M&I) resources and approximately 2.50 million tons of inferred resources. The Company is also engaged in the evaluation of producing and development stage mineral resource opportunities.
