United Cacao Limited SEZC (UCL) is an investment holding company. The Company is engaged in agricultural operations. The Company and its subsidiaries are involved in the ownership development and management of cacao estates, which consists of acquisition, development and preparation of land for planting. The Company owns over 3,990 hectares (over 9,850 acres) of private, freehold land that is fully zoned and pre-approved for agricultural purposes. It has over 1,830 hectares (over 4,510 acres) of cacao planted comprising, over 1,630 hectares of corporate estate and over 180 hectares of Programa Alianza Produccion Estrategica Cacao (PAPEC), a small-farmer out-grower program. The Company, through PAPEC, extends micro-financing to select small growers to plant cacao, and then purchases their wet beans for processing and drying at its fermentation facilities. Its subsidiaries include Cacao Del Peru Norte S.A.C. (CDPN) and Cooperativa de Cacao Peruano S.A.C. (CCP).
