TransEnterix, Inc. is a medical device company. The Company is engaged in digitizing the interface between the surgeon and the patient to improve minimally invasive surgery (MIS) through digital laparoscopy. It is focused on the market development and commercialization of the Senhance Surgical System, which digitizes laparoscopic MIS. The Senhance system is a machine vision system for use in robotic surgery, which is powered by intelligent surgical unit that enables augmented intelligence in surgery. Its System is designed to maintain laparoscopic MIS standards while providing digital benefits such as haptic feedback, advanced instrumentation, including three millimeter micro laparoscopic instruments, eye-sensing camera control and reusable standard instruments to patients around the world. The Senhance System is used in Europe for laparoscopic abdominal and pelvic surgery, as well as limited thoracic operations. It is also available in the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Russia.
